After attaining my Associates Degree in Accounting I searched 2 years for God’s choice to complete my BBA. Belhaven College had been in my sights for many years prior. Not wanting to rush into a final decision, I looked at other area colleges with a focus and the best program. Belhaven, hands down, has the finest adult program in the metropolitan Orlando area. Some of the distinguishing factors were:
1. Godly staff and faculty members
2. Christian Worldview in all courses
3. Hands on class room participation
4. Opportunity for student leadership
5. Quality education in an accelerated format
6. Centrally located in the metropolitan Orlando community
I began in January 2004. From the start I see the light at
the end of my Belhaven experience, unlike traditional programs that takes many
years to complete for working adults. Every course has been rewarding upon its
completion. At the end of each course, I am excited to continue forward until
graduation in 2006.

I was unsure what God wanted me to do when I graduated high
school.When I heard about Belhaven, I wasexcited! I thought it was a great
idea for me to go to a school which was taught from a Christian perspective. As
I started getting into my classes I began to love it and truly enjoying spending
time with people in my study group. It was awesome to be able to pray about
anything that came to our minds, now that was a blessing for me! Now that
I have completed my AA degree and am into my BASS degree, I can definitely see
where God is directing me. Not only have the courses been of great help but the
people in which I work with bring such an immense joy to my life. I have been
able to be a blessing to others and others be a blessing to me. This shows
that Belhaven College is not only a place of academics but a place in which one
can find comfort and strength. I'm on my way to what lies ahead and I know
that Belhaven has helped me get started on this road.

I have accomplished a lot in my career, but I have found
myself put in a position for running a large complex Government organization. I
have an Engineering background, but had very little experience in running an
organization. I researched many different colleges in the Orlando area and I
did an analysis on what they offer, how they handle student’s issues, and what I
will be getting out of the curriculum. I chose Belhaven College because of its
academic reputation and bring a Christian school, and the willingness of student
services to work with me and accommodate my hectic work schedule. Through this
College, not only have I been provided the building blocks for running an
organization effectively, but also more importantly, I have learned the
principles in becoming a Servant Leader, as Jesus wanted us to be (John 13:14 –
15).

The staff and students at Belhaven are awesome! I was a
single mother of three when I made the decision to attend Belhaven. I put
it in my mind that I would not let anything stop me from getting my
degree. I knew it would be a sacrifice. I sat down my children and
explained what my my goals were. Having my family behind me 100% and with
Jesus with me the sky is the limit for me!
